Video: MGB at Point Reyes

We would like to take a moment and thank you for all you do for the British motoring enthusiast community. Your level of customer service, product knowledge and online technical support have proven invaluable in completing our MGB restoration project.

I wanted to support my 19-year old son’s desire to pursue a career in the automotive repair and racing. Kyle’s passion for anything with an engine and four wheels has inspired him to get an entry level job at Porsche racing and restoration shop, while taking automotive repair courses at our local college. His job and schooling were excellent ways for him to gain knowledge and experience. But, I wanted to provide him an opportunity to completely rebuild a car of his own, from bumper to bumper, equipped with nothing more than a reasonable stocked home garage.

Last spring my son and I purchased a 1972 MGB; a true non-working project car, complete with astroturf for carpeting. At the beginning of the project we had absolutely no previous MGB repair experience. As a matter of fact we had never even driven an MG before.

Fortunately for us, our MGB’s previous owner gave us an outdated Moss Motors catalog when we purchased the car and highly recommended we use Moss for both parts and product knowledge. His recommendation couldn’t have been more on the money. Throughout our restoration project, we routinely turned to Moss, on the web and over the phone, to answer our endless stream of questions.

With our MGB now back on the road, and turning heads wherever we go, Kyle and I want to express how thankful we are for your service and support. Thanks again for all you do!

I love your restored MGB, these are some of the most fun-to-drive cars ever produced and yours looks like a shining example.
I was bitten by the MGB bug just as I turned 18. My older brother left his brand new 1972 MGB at our parents house as he left for Vietnam (USAF Navigator). At the time I didn’t even know how to drive a standard shift, but I learned fast.
I was an 18 year old kid, fresh out of high school with a brand new sports car…. I was ruined for life!
Since then I have owned and restored/reconditioned several MGBs and loved each one. Currently I have a totally disassembled 1974 MGB (mfg. date 3/1974 with chrome bumpers – must be one of the last ones) that I hope to begin restoring as money allows. Or maybe I’ll just wait a little longer as I turned 60 this past July, 2014 and use my retirement fund for the restoration.
Good luck with your new found love!
